About Us

Jens Wickström

I bought my first polar dog, a Samoyed, in 1988 and a year later came dog number two, an Alaskan husky. In the early 90s I also bought some Siberian huskies and dog sledding became reality.

In 1996 I started, after moving north, tourism activities with dog sledding and since then I work full time with the dogs in the winter. The business was then called JWs Wilderness Tours, but in order to meet the increasing international market, we changed our name to Sweden Husky Tours in 2013.

During the summer, I am a carpenter in my own company, but I am also a licensed rafting guide and sometimes do rafting tours as well.

Ann Wessman

Ever since I bought my first Siberian Husky in 1976, I have been hopelessly in love with the breed, its intelligence and integrity never ceases to fascinate and amaze me.

In 1991, I could finally realize my dream to move north from Stockholm, buy a farm house and get more Siberian huskies. I already had three of them, but it did not take long before there was another one and another one and another one…

Since 1992 I breed pure Siberian Huskies under the kennel name Zoe-Ann's.

Prevoiusly I was a language teacher, but since June 2016 I devote all my time to the dogs and dog sledding - a great way to recharge your batteries. To stand on the sled and see the dogs work their way through the glistening white landscape makes me totally forget about time and space - just the dogs and I exist!
